Subject: Dr Ranawat, after the surgery

It was really nice to hear Dr Ranawat. One felt as if one were at the press conference, hearing him speak. Congratulations to rediff.com. I pray for our prime minister's speedy recovery.

A good feature, though it should have been in addition to a written report.

Mr Vajpayee is undergoing a knee replacement surgery under an expert surgeon from USA in the most expensive and exclusive Breach Candy hospital. This is at the cost of the poor taxpayer of the country. How many average middle-class patients can afford this avoidable surgery?

Yes, it is avoidable and not absolutely necessary. Orthopaedic surgeons will gloat over the usefulness and advisability of this surgery. But Dr Jason in his best seller book Arthritis Cure has said that arthritis can be stopped, reversed and cured by three simple steps.

Daily, take 1500 ml of Glucosamine and 1000 ml of Chrondromytin. This combination, called Glucosamine complex, is available in any drug store and can be bought over the counter.

A walk everyday. Walk for 15 minutes initially and slowly increase it to 45 minutes.

Weight control through a fat-free diet and giving up alcohol.

One can read the book Healing power of exercise in addition to Arthritis Cure.

I request journalists not to hype this surgery which the PM is undergoing.

Why is the surgery that the prime minister has to undergo being hyped so much?

Subject: BJP to conduct yagna for PM's speedy

Can somebody explain to the BJP members that the surgery the prime minister has to undergo will not be a success simply because of this yagna they are conducting? Why don't they pray that the PM gets well without having to undergo any surgery?

I have disc-related problems for which I have undergone all kinds of treatment procedures, none of which really helped me. I finally learnt of something called `sidha treatment' which I have been undergoing for the past 90 days and have found it to be very effective. Now I don't feel as much pain as I used to. I believe our PM should consider this form of treatment before he thinks of going in for surgery.

The line `Dr Ranawat is married to a non-Indian' is out of context with the rest of the paragraph.

No doubt, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has chosen the best talent in the world to operate upon his knee. Best of luck to him and we pray for his speedy recovery. However, we wish he had chosen the best ministerial team to oversee the fate of one billion Indians. His inefficient colleagues in the ministry are a drain on the national exchequer.
