26 kg RDX, arms seized near LoC: PTI

The Border Security Force recovered 26 kg RDX, besides arms and ammunition from two militant hideouts near the Line of Control in north Kashmir on Thursday night, a BSF spokesman said in Srinagar on Friday.

The BSF raided the hideouts at Raja Ram Ki Ladi and Sunda Goi Ridge in the frontier district of Kupwara.

The cache of arms included seven AK assault rifles, six anti-tank mines, three boxes filled with mine fuses, nine grenades, five electric detonators, a pistol and a bottle of pottasium cyanide, he said.

This is the third major haul of arms and ammunition by the security forces near the Line of Control in less than a week.

The earlier two seizures were effected on October 28 and 29, following the arrest of top militant Abdul Majid Dar, who led the troops to the hideouts, he said.
