Five undertrials hurt in
clash in Yerwada jail: PTI

The 15 prisoners from circle three, barrack two, had an argument with the five undertrials at about 08:35 hours IST, when they stepped out of the barracks for bath, police said.

The prisoners then punched and kicked the five undertrials for about 15 minutes till the jail officials came to the spot, police added.

A first information report has been lodged at the Yerwada police station by jailor Anil Khamkar against the 15 prisoners for rioting and assault.

The prisoners involved in the incident have been kept in separate barracks.
