Shah Rukh has a new(born) heroine in his life

Gauri Shah Rukh Khan gave birth to the couple's second child, a daughter, at Breach Candy hospital on Tuesday morning.

Gauri was admitted to hospital last night after she started experiencing labour pains.

The elated parents have already thought of a name for their daughter, Suhana.

Four months earlier, when the sex of the child had been determined, the delighted parents-to-be started scouting around for names. Shah Rukh had in fact said at the time, "A name is probably the only thing we can give a child so I want her to have a good name. Aryaan [his son] is such a nice name."

Shah Rukh Khan had been shooting with Juhi Chawla for Shashilal Nair's One Two ka Four and the schedule was to last till May 30. The superstar had already cautioned the filmmaker that Gauri's delivery was due on the 28th and that they might have to cut short the shoot.

In fact Shah Rukh and Gauri were both on Shashilal Nair's sets till the wee hours of Monday. "We were shooting till six in the morning," recalled Nair. "Gauri was on the sets till 2 am. Later in the day Shah Rukh informed me that she had to be taken to the hospital, but once they reached there it was found that it was not urgent, the delivery would take some time. But now I hear that the baby is born!"

Says Nair, "From the day they knew it was to be a daughter Shah Rukh has been very excited -- he's been looking forward to her arrival."

Shah Rukh himself has been off the press for some time now.
