BJP leader shot dead in Bihar's Samastipur district

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravindra Mahto was shot dead by a group of unidentified criminals near Khijuri village in Samastipur district in the early hours of today.

Police superintendent A Natrajan said Mahto was shot dead when he was on his way to Khijuri village

The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder. The deceased was the general secretary of Warisnagar block in the district.

No arrest has been made so far in this connection.
