Reddy's killers identifiedSyed Amin Jafri in Hyderabad Four outlawed People's War Group leaders have been identified as the main suspects behind the killing of Panchayat Raj Minister A Madhava Reddy and his security officer and car driver in a landmine blast at Ghatkesar on March 7. Director-General of Police H J Dora, in a statement on Wednesday, said that persons providing information on the whereabouts of these PWG leaders would be given rewards totalling Rs 1.6 million. "The ongoing investigation into the landmine blast at Ghatkesar reveals the involvement of Patel Sudhakar Reddy alias Ravi alias Srikanth, AP state committee member of the PWG, Diwakar alias Dharmanna, district committee secretary, Nalgonda, Somula Venkatesam alias Mallanna, district committee member, Alair Dalam, and Konepuri Iylaiah alias Sudhakar alias Naganna, central organiser of Kalwakurthy Dalam, Mahbubnagar, behind the Ghatkesar blast," he said. All these extremists belonging to the outlawed organisation carry rewards on their heads. Sudhakar Reddy carries a reward of Rs 600,000, followed by Diwakar with Rs 500,000, Somula Venkatesam with Rs 300,000 and Iylaiah with Rs 200,000 on their heads. The identity of persons furnishing any information would not be revealed, he assured. Meanwhile, the nine-member special investigation team constituted under Captain C Ratna Reddy, deputy inspector-general of police, to probe the landmine blast at Ghatkesar, has made some headway in the investigations. The special team is assisted by two deputy superintendents of police, two inspectors and other staff.
