Boeing team to help in crash probeA team of officials from The Boeing Company on Friday joined Indian aviation experts investigating the crash of a 737 plane in Patna killing 55 persons, an aviation official said. The 20-year-old aircraft operated by Alliance Air slammed into a residential area just short of the airport in Patna on Monday, killing 51 of the 58 passengers and crew, and four persons on the ground. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, though Indian civil aviation officials have hinted at pilot error. Officials from India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation are carrying out investigations at the crash site as well as trying to decipher the contents of the plane's black box. The investigators are also examining the instrument landing system at Patna airport, which guides planes onto the runway. See full coverage of the Alliance Air crash
