Indian Airlines mishapsFollowing is the chronology of major accidents involving Indian Airlines. Jul 30, 1998: Dornier aircraft crashes while taking off at Cochin airport in Kerala killing all six persons on board and three others who were working inside a naval workshop building onto which it nosedived and burst into flames. Apr 26, 1993: Fifty-six persons die in Boeing 737 crash at Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Aug 16, 1991: Sixty-nine persons are killed when a Boeing 737 bursts into flame over the Loktak Hydel Power Project near Imphal, Manipur. Feb 14, 1990: An Airbus 320 crashes at Bangalore airport, killing 92 people. Dec 17, 1989: Boeing 737 crashes near Hyderabad, killing three.
