13 killed in Surat house collapse

At least 13 people were killed when a four-storey house collapsed in the western Indian city of Surat, the UNI reported on Friday.

The agency said 21 others were injured when the commercial building, which was still under construction, tumbled late Thursday in the city's busy business district of Kapodara. Most of the victims were construction workers who were camping inside for the night, fire-fighters said.
