Eleven run over by Rajdhani Express

E-Mail this report to a friend

At least eleven people were run over by the Guwahati-bound Rajdhani Express at Pandarak station on the Patna-Mokamah section in Bihar this morning. Eight others were injured in the mishap.

Additional Director General of Police (Railways) Anil Kumar Pandey said in Patna that the deceased included three women.

The victims were crossing the railway track after alighting from the Delhi-bound Janata Express when the mishap occurred, Inspector General of Police (Patna zone) Nilmani said. He added the victims probably could not see the approaching train because of the dense fog hanging over the station.

The injured have been admitted in hospitals at Mokameh and Barh.

Senior railway and police officials have rushed to the spot.
