Bihar cold wave claims 61 livesSixty-one people have died in Bihar as a severe cold wave swept northern and eastern India. Of these, 29 deaths were reported yesterday and the others on Saturday as day temperatures ranged between 6.5 degrees and 9.6 degrees Centigrade in four key districts including the state capital Patna. Sixteen people had died in Nalanda district and seven in Hajipur. Six deaths have been reported from Chapra and Saran districts. Many people affected by the cold wave have been hospitalised. UNI
