The police said 15 persons, including three members of the security forces, were wounded in the blast.

The condition of 10 persons is stated to be critical. They have been shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

The police said the landmine, planted near a motor workshop went off, killing two persons on the spot. The explosion triggered off panic in the area, with bystanders running helter-skelter for security.

Police sources said Superintendent of Police, Sopore, Shaukat Ahmed, along with police reinforcements, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sopore hospital.

Ten of them were subsequently taken to Srinagar in a critical condition.
