Sachin flying back due to father's death

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's father Ramesh Tendulkar, a noted Marathi litterateur, died in Bombay following a cardiac arrest.

He was 66.

Professor Ratnakar Shetty, secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association, said that Sachin's father died last night.

Sources said he died at the Bhabha Hospital.

Sachin, who was in England for the World Cup series, has already left for Bombay, Shetty said.
