27 feared drowned in Bihar

At least 27 people were feared drowned in the Tillaya dam in Koderma district of Bihar last evening, when their boat capsized.

Official sources said about 40 people were enjoying a boat ride during the Ram Navami festival, when it turned turtle.

While one dead body was recovered and some passengers managed to swim ashore, 26 others could not be traced. Divers have been pressed into service to locate the bodies.
