Jaya questioned about charge over bomb blasts

E-Mail this report to a friend

A four-member team of the Special Investigation Team of the Tamil Nadu crime branch CID police, probing the planting of time bombs near police establishments in the city, Coimbatore and Tiruchirapalli, today questioned All India Anna DMK general secretary J Jayalalitha this evening to verify her charge that the bombs were planted by the state government itself.

The CB-CID team, which did the questioning at Jayalalitha's Poes Garden residence in Madras, posed five questions to her.

Jayalalitha cooperated well in answering the questions, CB-CID sources said.

The CB-CID also questioned Tamil Maanila Congress general secretary Peter Alphonse and Rashtriya Janata Dal state unit president Jagaveera Pandian.

Puthiya Thamizhagam party chief Dr K Krishnasamy would, however, be questioned later as he is in New Delhi.
