Anjana Mishra identifies 'second rapist'

Anjana Mishra has identified Tuna Mohanty, who was arrested on Monday as the one of the men who raped who her.

Reports are circulating that the third person allegedly involved, Baban Biswal, has already been apprehended while he was moving about suspiciously near Dharmsala in Cuttack district.

Meanwhile, the police claimed they had trouble procuring a photograph of Biswal. The Crime Branch decided to use a computerised picture generated with Mishra's help. But Mishra refused, allegedly because she doubted if any good would come of it since Inspector Pramanjan Parida, who has caused her much trouble while he was in the Nayaalli police station in which area Mishra's house falls, has been transferred to the computer centre soon after the gang rape.

Meanwhile, the police association is demanding that security for Mishra to be handed over to central forces. Earlier, they had sought that the job be supervised by a magistrate.

The association has threatened that if Anjana misbehaves with any woman police officer again all the woman officers would go on mass leave.
