Four militants killed, four held in valley

Troops killed four militants and arrested an equal number while two others surrendered in the Kashmir valley in overnight operations.

A defence ministry spokesman said troops killed two militants each in the frontier district of Kupwara and the South Kashmir district of Anantnag during search operations last evening. Some arms and ammunition were recovered from them.

The spokesman said troops also arrested four militants while two others surrendered along with their arms and ammunition in Kupwara district last evening.
