Rain likely in Kashmir

Rain or snow is likely at a few places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the plains of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Cold-wave conditions prevailed in parts of south Rajasthan and north-central Maharashtra.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Orissa, Gujarat, and parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. They were below normal in Punjab, Jammu, Konkan, south-central Maharashtra, and parts of Himachal Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Assam and Meghalaya, and above normal in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Kashmir, north-east Madhya Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were normal in the rest of the country except for Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.

Rain or snow fell at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, and at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in Haryana, at many places in Punjab, and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
