Thakre appoints new BJP office-bearers

Former Delhi chief minister Madanlal Khurana, former Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party president Ramdas Agrawal and Bhavna Chikalia, Member of Parliament, have been appointed vice-presidents of the BJP by party president Kushabhau Thakre.

According to an official announcement of the party in New Delhi on Friday, they will fill vacancies caused by the death of Kishan Lal Sharma and the induction of Bangaru Laxman and Sundar Lal Patwa into the Union council of ministers.

Thakre has also appointed Kataria and Chintamani Wanga as all-India secretaries. Rajvir Singh, ex-MP, will be the new president of the party's Kisan Morcha (farmers front), the announcement said.
