Atmosphere unsuitable for talks: Pak

E-Mail this report to a friend

Pakistan has said the ''prevailing atmosphere was unsuitable for resuming peace talks with India''.

According to Pakistan Link, a foreign ministry spokesman had accused New Delhi of spoiling the atmosphere by resorting to ''state terrorism'' against a separatist movement in Jammu and Kashmir.

``For dialogue there has to be conducive atmosphere,'' spokesman Tariq Altaf told the media yesterday. ''We believe conducive atmosphere will be created when India stops its state terrorism against the Kashmiris,'' he said.
