Bomb scare at Lata's London felicitation

A function to honour the Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, in London on her becoming a Rajya Sabha member, was disrupted slightly thanks to a bomb scare.

Wednesday's function at India House, London, saw many well-known Indians in attendance, and was proceeding smoothly, when there was a sudden alarm.

While details are sketchy, it is said there was a scare following which the metropolitan police was called in. Fortunately, it turned out to be a hoax, and Lata is back to doing what she does best: entrance people with her voice.
