Jaya vows to defeat 'unholy' DMK-BJP combine

E-Mail this report to a friend

All India Anna DMK general secretary J Jayalalitha today vowed to defeat the "unholy" DMK-BJP combine in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu.

Addressing a mammoth election rally at Marakkadai in Tamil Nadu, she criticised the BJP-led government for its failure to rise up to the expectations of the people. It could not even preserve the country's territorial integrity, she charged.

The DMK government in the state had failed on all fronts. It could not solve the problems faced by the people and ensure a peaceful atmosphere. Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, during the last three years, had been vindictive, by filing false cases against her and her partymen in an attempt to wreck the AIADMK, she claimed.

Jayalalitha said only the AIADMK-Congress alliance could ensure political stability at the centre.
