Train blasts accused remanded to custody

Eravadi Kasim, leader of the Islamic Defence Force, a fundamentalist organisation, who was arrested in Madras on May 22, has been remanded to police custody till June 3.

On Monday, Kasim was brought from the central prison in Vellore to Fifth Metropolitan Magistrate Rajagopal's court amidst tight security.

He is an accused in the December 6 bomb blasts in three trains in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
