Andhra Pradesh

Masanti Venkateswara Rao (Congress) beats Union Minister Dr Bolla Bulli Ramaiah (TDP) by 23,807 votes to win the Eluru seat.

Gurunadha Rao Giduvada (Congress) defeats Ayyanna Patrudu Chintakavalu (TDP) to win the Anakapalli seat by 25,925 votes.

Kondapalli Pydithalli Naidu (TDP) beats Botcha Satyanarayana (Congress) by 26,908 votes to win the Bobilli seat.

Kanumuru Bapi Raju (Congress) beats Kothapalli Subra Rayndu (TDP) by 47,970 votes to win the Nagapur seat.

S Gangadhar (Congress) beats S Ramchandra Reddy (TDP) by 26,138 votes in to bag the Hindupur seat.

BJP nominee Girijala Venkataswamy Naidu defeats his nearest TDP rival M V V S Murthy by 9,912 votes in Rajamundhry.

Rayapati Sambasiva Rao (Congress) defeats Lal Jan Basha S M (TDP) by 57,347 votes to win the Guntur seat.

Former AP chief minister Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy (Congress) beat Union Minister Ummareddy Venkateswarlu (TDP) to win the Bapatla constituency seat by 276,300 seats.

B Narasimha Reddy (Congress) retains the Miryalaguda seat, defeating nearest rival Seetharamaiah by 14,498 votes.

K Venkatanarsaiah (CPI-M) beats Seelam Sidda Reddy (Congress) by 4,020 votes in the Madhira constituency.

Azmeera Chandulal (TDP) defeats T Kalpana Devi (Congress) by 24,801 votes and bags the Warangal constituency.

Panabaka Lakshmi (Congress) beats Buduru Swarnalatha (CPI-M) in Nellore, by a margin of 75,130 votes.

Nagendra Bhaskar Rao of the Congress beats Tamm Imeni Veerabhadram of the CPI-M by 11,671 votes in Khammam. With this, the Congress has wrested the seat from the CPI.

Congress candidate T Subbirammi Reddy beats Ananda Gajapathi Raju of the TDP by 61,517 votes in Vishakapatnam to retain the Congress seat.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy of the TDP beats Sangula Prathap Reddy of the Congress by 4,560 votes to retain Nandyal for his party.

Chintha Mohan of the Congress beats N Sivaprasad of the TDP by 9,946 votes to retain the Tirupathi seat for his party.

K Gangareddy of the TDP wins the Nizamabad seat, beating sitting MP G Atmacharan Reddy (BJP) by 32,771 votes.

C Sugunakumari (TDP) beats sitting MP G Venkataswamy (Congress) by 6,174 votes to wrest the Peddapalli seat.

The Secunderabad seat was won by the BJP's Bandaru Dattatreya, who beat sitting MP P V Rajeshwara Rao of the Congress by 185,959 votes.

Sitting MP Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy (Congress) beats K E Krishnamurthy (TDP) by 12,836 votes to retain the Kurnool seat.

Ch Vidyasagar Rao of the BJP wins the Karimnagar seat, beating T Ramana of the TDP by 95,997 votes.

The Congress wins the Medak seat.

Mallu Ravi (Congress) wins the Nagarkurnool seat, defeating Manda Jagannath (TDP) by 19,675 votes.

S Jaipal Reddy (JD) wins from Mabubnagar, beating S Mallikarjun, AP Congress president. Reddy polled 298,267 votes, beating the Congress nominee by 42,661 votes. Jitendra Reddy of the BJP finished third with 206,756 votes.

K S Rao (Congress) is elected from Machilapatnam after defeating sitting MP, actor-politician K Satyanarayana (TDP) by over 18,000 votes.

CPI state secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy wins the Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat, defeating V Hanumantha Rao (Congress) by 24,455 votes.

Congress candidate K Rosaiah defeats TDP rival K Saidaiah by 28,445 votes to win the Narasaraopet constituency.

Kinjarapu Yerrannaidu (TDP) wins from Srikakulam, beating Dharmana Prasada Rao (Congress) by 110,820 votes.

U V Krishnam Raju (BJP) defeats Gopalkrishna Thota (TDP) by 67,798 votes to bag the Kakinada seat.

Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy (Congress) defeats Kandula Rajamohan Reddy (TDP) by 53,881 votes to bag the Cuddapah constituency.

Bihar

Krishna Kumar Chowdhury (BJP) defeats sitting MP Bhagwati Devi (RJD) by 37,446 votes from Gaya.

R D Rishideo (BJD) defeats Geeta Devi (RJD) by more than 30,000 votes to bag the Araria seat.

Jagdambi Prasad Yadav (BJP) beats Suraj Mandal (JMM-S) to win the Godda seat.

George Fernandes (Samata Party) defeats Ram Swaroop Prasad (RJD) by over 105,000 votes and retains the Nalanda seat.

Yashwant Sinha of the BJP beats Bhuvaneshwar Prasad Mehta (CPI) by 150,000 votes to win the Hazaribagh seat.

Mahendra Baitna of the Samata Party defeats Purnamasi Ram of the Janata Dal by over 50,000 votes in Bagha.

Karia Munda (BJP) beats Sushila Karketta (Congress) by over 20,000 votes, to retain Khunti for his party.

Muni Lak (BJP) defeats Ram Kesri Prasad (RJD), by 88,728 votes to retain the Sasaram seat.

Dadra, Nagar and Haveli

Mohanbhai Sanjaybhai Delkar (BJP) wins the seat by 8,717 votes.

Delhi

Meira Kumar, daughter of the late Jagjivan Ram, wins by 4,849 votes from the reserved Karol Bagh constituency, beating Delhi Tourism and Welfare Minister S P Ratawal.

Vijay Goel (BJP) beat J P Aggarwal (Congress) by 4,185 votes in Chandni Chowk.

BJP candidate Lal Behari Tiwary wins the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, beating Congress candidate Sheila Dixit by over 45,000 votes.

Goa

Ravi Naik (Congress) snatched the Panaji Lok Sabha seat from the MGP, beating Pandurang Raut of the BJP by just 400 votes. Sitting MP Ramakant Khalap (MGP) finished third.

Francisco Sardinha (Congress) beats Ramakant Angle (BJP) by 7,850 votes.

Gujarat

Haribhai Choudhary (BJP) defeats Sadhvi (Congress) by 84,765 votes in Banaskantha.

A K Patel (BJP) beats Mansinh Thakor (Congress) by 125,334 votes to win the Mehsana constituency.

Bhavnaben Chikhaliya (BJP) wins from Junagadh, defeating Jethabhai Jora (Congress) by 90,311 votes.

Becharbhai Viritbhai Bhadani (BJP) wins from Lathi, beating off competition from Independent Khodidas Thakkar.

Kashiram Rana, the former state BJP president, wins the Surat seat by an awesome 303,100 votes.

Haryana

Satya Pal Jain (BJP) wins Chandigarh by more than 12,000 votes.

Aman Kumar Nagra (BSP) wins the Ambala seat, beating sitting MP Suraj Bhan of the BJP by over 2,900 votes.

Katlso Devi (Haryana Lok Dal) is elected from Kurukshetra. He defeated Kuldeep Sharma of the Congress by over 141,000 votes.

Surinder Singh, son of Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal, wins from Bhiwani on a Haryana Vikas Congress ticket.

Kishan Singh (HLD) wins the Sonepat seat, defeating his closest rival, the HVP's Arney Ram Dahiya by 137,324 votes.

Karnataka

Ramchandra Veerappa (BJP) retains Bidar, beating Baru Homma Nayak by over 184,000 votes.

K C Kondaiah (Congress) beats N Thippanna of the Lok Shakti by over 63,000 votes to bag the Bellary seat.

H D Deve Gowda beats H C Sreekantaiah, wins from Hassan.

C K Jaffer Sharief (Congress) wrests Bangalore North seat from Janata Dal.

S Mallikarjunaiah of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeats R Narayana of the Congress in Tumkur. Mallikarjunaiah gets 327,312 votes as against Narayana's 256,125.

Former minister Ajaykumar Sarnaik (Lok Shakti) defeats Siddu Nyame Gowda (Congress) by 73,632 to bag the Bagalkot seat.

Ananth Kumar (BJP) retains the Bangalore south seat.

Vijay Sankeshwar (BJP) elected from Dharwar north. He defeats Congress candidate D K Naikar by over 110,000 votes.

Vijay Shankar (BJP) wins from Mysore, defeating S Chikkamadu (Congress) by 95,013 votes.

Shamanur Shivshankarappa (Congress) wrests Davangare, from G M Mallikarjunappa of the BJP by over 11,000 votes.

Ambareesh of the Janata Dal beat G Made Gowda of the Congress in Mandya. He had 431,439 votes as against Made Gowda's 250,916. H Srinivas of the BJP trailed with 102,459.

Kerala

P C Chacko (Congress) beats K Francis George (Kerala Congress) by 6,350 votes to bag the Idukki seat.

V V Raghavan (CPI) beats K Muralidharan by 18,243 votes from Thrissur.

G M Banatwala of the Indian Union Muslim League wins his traditional Ponnani seat in Mallapuram district by 104,244 votes, beating Minu Mumtaz of the CPI.

E Ahmed of the IUML beats K V Salahuddeen of the CPI-M by 106,009 votes to retain the Manjeri seat for the UDF.

N N Krishnadas of the CPI beats V S Vijayaraghavan of the Congress by 25,042 votes to retain the Palghat seat for the ruling LDF.

P Narayanan of the CPI beats V P Sajeendran of the Congress by 1,276 votes win the Vaikom seat.

T Govindan (CPI-M) beats Khader Mangad of the Congress by 45,240 votes to bag the Kasargod seat.

Mala goes to U S Sasi of the CPI, who bagged 49,211 votes against the 48,939 polled by T U Radhakrishnan of the Congress.

The Congress wrests Ernakulam from the CPI-M by 26,9933 votes.

Senior Congress leader K Karunakaran wins the Thiruvananthapuram seat, beating K V Surendranath (CPI) by 15,579 votes.

A C Jose of the Congress beats P Govinda Pillai of the CPI-M by 9,416 votes in Mukundapuram.

A K Premarajan (CPI-M) wins the Badgara seat, garnering 58,749 votes more than P M Suresh Babu of the Congress.

Suresh Kurup (CPI-M) defeats Ramesh Chennithala (Congress) by 5,446 votes in Kottayam.

Professor P J Kurien (Congress) defeats the CPI-M-backed Professor Ninan Koshy by 1,339 votes in Mavellikara.

M Anirudhan of the CPI beat C V Padmarajan of the Congress by 3,938 votes to retain the Chanthannur seat in Kerala for the Left Democratic Front.

Lakshwadweep

Former Union minister P M Sayeed of the Congress is elected defeating Janata Dal candidate K K Mohammed Koya by 1,005 votes. This is the ninth time Sayeed has won this seat.

Maharashtra

Arvind Kamble of the Congress defeats Shivaji Kamble of the Shiv Sena in Osmanabad by over 47,000 votes.

Manikrao Hodlya Gavit of the Congress is declared elected from Nandurbar, after he beat Kuwarsingh Valvi of the BJP by 65,711 votes.

Khandole Zamaru of the Congress defeats the BJP's Kacharubau Raut by 61,196 votes in Malegaon.

Chitralekha Tejsinhrao Bhosle (Congress) beats the Shiv Sena's Ashok Yaswantrao Gujar by 67,078 votes to win the Ramtek seat.

R S Gavai of the RPI beats the Shiv Sena's Anantrao Mahadev Appa Budhe by 13,859 votes to win the Amravati seat.

Gurudas Kamat of the Congress beats Pramod Mahajan of the BJP in Bombay Northeast by over 47,000 votes.

D S Ahire (Congress) retains the Dhule seat.

Madhukar Sarpotdar (Shiv Sena) retains the Bombay Northwest seat.

Sharad Pawar wins Baramati by 268,184 votes.

Madan Patil wins Sangli, defeating Anna Dange (BJP) by 73,239 votes.

Suryakanta Patil (Congress) wins Hingoli by over 70,000 votes, beating Shivaji Mane of the Shiv Sena.

Uttamsingh Pawar (BJP) wins Jalna, beating Dhyaneshwar Banger (Congress) by 1,700 votes.

Mukul Wasnik (Congress) beat the Shiv Sena's S Anandrao Adsul by 53,557 votes to bag the Buldana seat.

Suresh Varpudkar (Congress) wrests Parbhani from Suresh Jadhav of the Shiv Sena by over 45,000 votes.

Prithviraj Chavan wins Karad, defeating Jaywantrao Bhosle (Shiv Sena) by 173,015 votes.

Abhey Singh Bhosale (Congress) wrests Satara from the Shiv Sena by 181,476 votes.

Murli Deora (Congress) wins Bombay South by 20,967 votes, beating Jaywantiben Mehta of the BJP.

Motiram Kisan Patil of the BJP elected from Erandol.

Mohan Rawle (Shiv Sena) retains the Bombay South Central seat.

Suresh Prabhu (Shiv Sena) retains the Rajapur seat, defeating Machindra Kambli by 65,000 votes.

Uttamrao Patil (Congress) wins Yavatmal by 54,673 votes.

Ramakrishna Patil (Congress) wins Aurangabad, defeating sitting Shiv Sena MP Pradeep Jaiswal by over 30,000 votes.

Congress candidate Madhavrao Balvant Patil wrests Nashik from Rajabhau Godse by over 100,000 votes.

Ulhas Patil (Congress) beats Gunwantrao Sardde of the BJP in Jalgaon, by a margin of 56,814 votes.

Madhya Pradesh

Chandra Shekhar Sahu (BJP) won the Mahasamund seat, defeating sitting MP Pawan Diwan by 47,732 votes.

Ramanand Singh (BJP) beats nearest rival state Industries Minister Rajendra Singh (Congress) by 44,485 votes to bag the Satana seat.

Jagannath Singh (BJP) defeats Tilak Raj Singh (Congress) by over 46,500 votes to win the Sidhi constituency.

BJP candidate Ram Krishna Kasamaria beats Naresh Chand (Congress) by more than 130,500 votes to retain the Dandh seat.

Senior BJP leader Uma Bharti has been re-elected from Khajuraho. She beat Sriram Kushwana of the Congress by 103,847 votes.

Former state Congress president Parsaram Bhardwaj beats P R Khute of the BJP by over 63,000 votes to bag the Sarangarh seat for the sixth time.

Punnulal Mohle (BJP) is elected in Bilaspur. He beat Kanya Kumari Anuragi of the Congress by 48,615 votes.

Sitting BJP MP Thavar Chand Sehl fought off an attack by Sajjan Singh Verma of the Congress by a margin of nearly 19,000 votes to retain the Shajapur seat.

M A Kharavela Swain of the BJP wins Balesore, beating Kartik Manapatra of the Congress by a margin of 55,140 votes.

Sangeeta Kumari Singdeo of the BJP beats Congress rival Sarat Pattnaik by 72,832 votes to win Bolangir.

Bhartruhari Mahatab (BJD) wins from Cuttack, defeats Congress rival Syed Mustafiz Ahmed by about 65,000 votes.

Daya Singh Sodhi, state BJP president, beats Raghunandan Lal Bhatia of the Congress by 91,140 votes to bag Amritsar.

Prime Minister I K Gujral wins Jalandhar by over 93,000 votes.

Sukhbir Singh Badal of the Akali Dal retains Faridkot, defeating Jagmeet Singh Brar of the Congress by 34,959 votes.

Chatin Singh (Akali Dal) wins Bhatinda by 49,824 votes.

Surjeet Singh Barnala of the Akali Dal wins from Sangrur.

Satnam Singh Kainth (Ind) wins Phillaur in Punjab by 68,800 votes.

Kamal Choudhary of the BJP wins from Hoshiarpur, beating Congress candidate C D Singh by a margin of more than 65,000 votes.

Vinod Khanna is elected from Gurdaspur. He defeated his nearest Congress rival, Sukhbans Kaur Bhinder, by 106,833 votes.

Prem Singh Lalpura of the Akali Dal wins by 125,000 votes over Gurinder Singh of the BJP in Tarn Taran.

Ghasi Ram Yadav (Congress) wins the Alwar seat by just 200 votes.

Union minister Sheesh Ram Ola (Congress-Secular) beats Madan Lal Saini of the BJP by 37, 869 votes to retain the Jhunjhunu seat.

Sikar in Rajasthan is won by Subhash Mehriya (BJP); there was a gap of 41,322 votes between him and closest competitor Hari Singh (Congress).

Dwarka P D Batrna of the Congress beats Shambhod Dayal Badgurjar of the BJP by 57,469 seats in Tonk.

Sikkim Democratic Front Bhim Prashad Dahal retains the lone Sikkim seat, defeating nearest rival Sanchaman Subba of the Congress by 50,945 votes.

Tamil Nadu

K Parymdhan (PMK) beats P Theertharaman (Congress) by 99427 votes, to bag the Dharmapuri seat.

C Kuppusami (DMK) defeats R T Sarapathy Mohan (MDMK) by 69,093 votes to win the Madras North seat.

D Venugopal (DMK) beats S Krishnamoorthy (AIADMK) by 274 votes in Tirupattur.

Union minister T G Venkataraman (DMK) is beaten in Tindivanam by Gingee M Ramachandran (MDMK) by a margin of 31,732 votes.

M Durai (PMK) wins Vandavasi in Tamil Nadu by 65,199 votes.

H Ranganathan (DMK) retains Coonoor by 18,305 votes.

C Gopal (AIADMK) beats A M Velu (TMC) from Arkonam.
