Date sent: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 00:57:33 EDT Dear Mr Shenoy, You have clearly exposed the doublespeak of our politicians. The Congress ruined our great nation for 45 years. The only credibility they have is Narasimha Rao's liberalisation of the economy. That was a step in the right direction. Sonia Gandhi is not Indian by birth or at heart. She has no moral right to talk of Indian politics. It is ironic that the Congress, founded by M K Gandhi who struggled all his life to throw foreigners out of India, should elect another foreigner as its president. If the party so much wanted one of the Nehru clan to rule India, why couldn't it make Maneka Gandhi its leader? At least, she is an Indian. The Opposition, when in power, did nothing to solve the Ayodhya issue. Now it wants to create problems just to pull down the government. In the best interests of the nation, all political parties should be dissolved for the next 20 years! Mukund A
Date sent: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 00:57:33 EDT Your analysis of the situation is very accurate. We never thought the way you have simply and precisely put it. It is out of desperation that the Opposition is reviving the Ayodhya issue. The BJP has said that it will respect the court verdict. A party in power is likely to adhere to the decision. So what is the problem of the Congress and Commies?? Nimesh Kumar
Date sent: Fri, 19 Jun 1998 08:44:18 -0700 You have correctly exposed the leeches we have in the Opposition today. The Congress is responsible for the present state of the country. This so-called party cannot even find an Indian to lead it! The contradictions that the Congress has subjected the nation to are too numerous to mention here. The Ayodhya temple issue is just one instance -- something that was started by the Congress but now has grown too big for them. The less said about the rest of the Opposition,, the better. I shudder to think that the likes of Mulayam, Laloo and the Commies were actually ruling India not too long ago. Keep such articles coming. Madhu Gurnani |
