BJP will put Bhandari in dock if it comes to power: KhuranaIf the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power at the Centre, a criminal case would be registered against Uttar Pradesh Governor Romesh Bhandari for his alleged conspiratorial role in the Kalyan Singh government's dismissal. BJP vice-president Madan Lal Khurana said Bhandari's 'role' in the 'coup' amounted to ''murder of democracy.'' The former Delhi chief minister also took the United Front government to task for 'ignoring' the President's reported advice on the recent UP developments. Khurana said he was equally surprised at the role of the Communist Party of India-Marxist and the Janata Dal on the issue. He said the CPI-M had not allowed the functioning of Parliament over the issue of removing Bhandari when he was the governor of Tripura. Khurana also demanded an inquiry into the 'huge property' which Bhandari possessed in Delhi. UNI
