Tamil actor put through DNA test in paternity case

E-Mail this report to a friend

Maverick Tamil film actor Mansur Ali Khan was taken to the government General Hospital in Madras on Sunday where a DNA test was performed on him in connection with the paternity charge against him.

Khan, a well-known film villain, had been arrested during the countrywide general strike on December 11 when he and his fans attempted to play cricket before the Raj Bhavan to express their support to the stir. He had been lodged at the Vellore central prison.

Following an order by the Madras high court, the actor was later arrested in the case relating to the paternity charge levelled against him by his former employee, Sneha Sharma.

Sharma had alleged that when she had been working under him, he had taken her to a five-star hotel where he sexually exploited her after giving her a cool drink mixed with an intoxicant. Her male child, Mahboob Ali Khan, was fathered by the actor, she had claimed.

After the test, the actor was taken back to the Vellore prison.
