Subject: Win Chaddha and the rest

The author makes an excellent observation on the moves that Indian politicians (now with Italian connection) are capable of. What is striking is that none of these self-serving ****** ever care for the country's interests. What they care about is power and personal benefits. If the educated lot could form a truly democratic ombudsman, we could teach these louts a lesson or two.

Subject: Win Chaddha, Sonia and Jayalalitha

T V R Shenoy thinks that if Chaddha is denied Belgian citizenship and forced back to India, the Bofors scandal will be completely solved. He is day-dreaming. Has any politician been found in the court of law guilty as charged? And convicted? Even if convicted, has any politician served his prison term? Politicians never have been convicted in the history of independent India. So why should Sonia panic about the possible outcome of the Bofors investigation? Even if the BJP rules its full term, the Bofors case will not be solved. I will bet on it -- I have so much 'confidence' in our justice system.

The article is really interesting. Kudos to Shenoy. It is high time we stop personalities like Ms Jayalalitha from taking people for ride. It will be good if you could tell us more about this female's wrong-doings.

Mr T V R Shenoy is sharp and accurate. He is fearless and, in this age of moronic and blackmail journalism, his writings provide some hope. Ask him to do two columns a week!

Thanks

Subject: The TINA factor

T V R Shenoy is not correct in his view of the PMK. The PMK is not neutral about invoking President's rule in TN. Dr Ramadas is also very active in that demand.
