Special police teams fan out to other states to hunt for Ayesha

Special police teams have been sent to neighbouring states in search of Ayesha and her accomplices, wanted in connection with the seizure of huge quantities of explosives in Madras and its suburbs recently, city Police Commissioner P Kalimuthu said on Thursday.

The commissioner said all efforts were on to nab the absconding extremists at the earliest. He announced suitable rewards to those who provided information about the whereabouts of the extremists.

He also said investigations were on to find out whether People's Democratic Party chairman Abdul Nasser Madani, who was arrested on Tuesday night at Kochi in Kerala, was involved in the Coimbatore serial blasts and the seizure of explosives.
