Miss Bollywood's 'Airport Look'?

Last updated on: May 11, 2020 10:24 IST

Remember that thing called airport look? Haven't sighted those in a while.

With flight services put on hold and everyone from paparazzi to celebrities staying home, we aren't getting any glimpses of Bollywood vanity.

Sukanya Verma collects some airport looks from the movies for your enjoyment.

Pati Patni Aur Woh

Ananya Pandey and Bhumi Pednekar are believers of travelling in style. And light.

Cocktail

Bangles, tasselled dupatta, Patiala salwar, mango peti -- you don't need to look at Diana Penty's passport to know this kuddi has flown all the way from Punjab.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Star in a crowd, desi or videsi. Hrithik Roshan's dapper dude is simply irresistible as he catches his flight to Spain in Zoya Akhtar's slick road movie.

Jab Harry Met Sejal

Anushka Sharma mixes comfort and fashion effortlessly while bidding adieu to her uber romantic guide Shah Rukh Khan at the end of her European sojourn in Imtiaz Ali's critically panned love story.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is perfectly on point in her leather jacket and red lips waiting to board her flight in the lounge area.

But Ranbir Kapoor's dressy sherwani avatar would make little sense to those who don't know he has walked out heartbroken from his ladylove's wedding.

English Vinglish

Be desi, wear desi is Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi's motto as they go fully swades for their 18-hour flight to America.

Swades

Speaking of Swades, there's Shah Rukh Khan in his casual shirt and denims looking every bit like us regular travellers.

Queen

Kangana Ranaut's real-life airport looks are an exercise in couture excess.

The actress keeps it relatively modest in bringing her Karol Bagh kurti jeans style to France where she's honeymooning solo after left at the altar by Rajkummar Rao.

Mujhse Dosti Karoge

Colourful travellers Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor make it easy for Hrithik Roshan to spot them in Heathrow's crazy crowd in Kunal Kohli's middling romantic triangle.

Dil Chahta Hai

Comfort is the first rule of travel. Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta take it both seriously and stylishly.

Hum Tum

In Bollywood movies, actors must exude glamour at all times.

Even when they are playing middle class students traveling overseas for higher education.

Jeans

Fresh off the modelling scenes and beauty pageants victories, a slender, stunning, drop dead gorgeous Ash is every bit the star ready to take silver screen by storm in her head-to-toe Burberry airport look.

Judwaa

Salman Khan's tailored, suited booted look draws instant attention and welcome from an over enthusiastic Bindu in Judwaa.

Darr

Madly in love honeymooners Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla swap destination from Goa to Switzerland in true Yash Chopra style much to stalker Shah Rukh Khan's dismay in Darr.

Andaz Apna Apna

Raveena Tandon lives up to Bollywood's idea of swish London return in bubble-gum pink formals and lady-like hat.

Dil

Dil kickstarted the trend of romantic airport reunions and we have fond memories of the joy Aamir Khan feels on discovering a simple salwar kameez clad Madhuri Dixit waiting for him.

Trishul

Shashi Kapoor is a picture of retro cool as he returns home from foreign shores in Yash Chopra's Trishul.

The Great Gambler

Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman shows how it's done before the trend caught on in their timelessly hip airport look.
