The wedding of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor is expected to be as magnificent as an event can get. The couple had several discussions with their respective families about the scale of the wedding and finally decided to give in and go all out with band baaja and baraat!
Post Heroine, the actress has put everything on hold and is now concentrating only on the big day.
Come October 14, the celebrations will kick-start in Mumbai and will go on for the next three days with various parties and functions including the sangeet, presided over by good friend Karan Johar.
Kareena's friend and favourite fashion designer Manish Malhotra is designing all her outfits.
There will be a lot of photo-ops but the family photos and the photographs of the couple will be shot at the venue by popular photographer Avinash Gowarikar.After the celebrations in Mumbai the wedding party will move to Delhi for the reception on October 18, which Saif's
mother Sharmila Tagore will be hosting.
Saif, who was not looking to have a big fat wedding, has kept a safe distance from the preps and put his entire management team to work.
A source close to both the actors confirmed, "Yes, the functions are taking place in Mumbai and Delhi because both families have guests to host in both cities.
"Needless to say, the arrangements are all top class! With the kind of planning at all the venues including the decor, the food and the flow, this is going to be one wedding everyone will remember."
The Mumbai functions will obviously see the who's who from the world of Bollywood congregating. Our source further confirmed, "The couple's good friends from the industry are participating in the sangeet. I don't know who is dancing to which song but yes, you will see some of their actor friends shaking a leg."
The reception in Delhi will be a quieter affair, open only to close family members and friends, though there will be friends from the fashion industry and politicians present as well.
