"Behind every successful man is a woman..." is the story line on which the nearly complete Kannada film, Shravana, is based on.
Vijay Raghavendra, last seen in the multi-starrer Gokula, is the lead actor while newbie and model-turned-actress Gayathri Iyer is the leading lady.
Shravana tells the tale of three unemployed and irresponsible youths. Bhuvan and Sandeep play Vijay's friends.

The friends realise that it's no good to just dream big; one has to work hard to make these dreams come true.

"The boys provide a ray of hope for the heroine which is why we chose Shravana as the title," says director B S Rajashekar.
In actuality, the heroine is the one who provides focus to the lives of the three main protagonists. She, along with the support of villagers even pulls the three out of a problem at a later stage, he adds. "Shravana is a women-centric subject," he concludes.

Shravana happened when Sitapathi, a dancer in Kannada films, suggested to the producers that a film be made on the subject. After four-five months of script sessions, the director and his team developed the story.
"All of us have bad times. The film reflects on such situations and comes with a relevant positive message. We also hope that the film does both us and the film industry good by being well accepted," Rajashekar adds.

"Also there can't be a better place than Tumkur to shoot, for this place has been a starting point for several greats in our industry. This is a very blessed place," adds the director. Tumkur also happens to be Rajashekar's hometown.
Yatri Nivas of the Siddaganga Mutt was transformed into the residence of the hero and his friends. A song was also shot at an orphanage in Mydala (the heroine runs an orphanage in the film).
The crew consists of music director Karthik Bhupati, lyricists Doddarange Gowda and Rajashekar, cinematographer K Vasudev, dialogue writers Ravi Kishor and Suresh C. RTO Shivanna and K S Venkatesh are the producers.
