Wedding is a special day in the life of a man and woman. But a celebrity wedding is just as big for those covering or reading about it.

The year 2012 saw some of our hottest stars give up their single-hood to marry the loves of their lives in star-studded affairs.

Here's a look at the big, fat filmi weddings of this year.

Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor

Despite a 10-year age gap and several doubts, the Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor romance flourished and turned into marriage when the duo opted for a registered legality, preceded by a sangeet party, and then a grand reception in Mumbai and Delhi attended by famous friends like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor.

Vidya Balan-Siddharth Roy Kapur

The Kahaani star exchanged vows with UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor in a fiercely private (part-Tamil, part-Punjabi style) ceremony at a bungalow in Bandra wearing a pretty kanjeevaram and trousseau designed by Sabyasachi, of course.

Music director Bappi Lahiri hosted a grand wedding for his son Bappa (scored songs for C Kkompany, Acid Factory) to stunt master Tinnu/Bhiku Verma's niece Taneesha Verma, which was attended by A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.
