Avika Gor and Sanam

The television dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa will be introducing six new dancing stars, who will compete against each other for the wild card entry.

Traditionally, a wild card episode brings back eliminated contestants, giving them a second chance to prove themselves. But this time, all the contestants will be new.

Avika Gor, Rashmi Sandhu, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani and Neha Bhasin, along with their respective choreographers, will battle it out on the dance floor to join the current contestants and fight for the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa title.

The wild card entry episode will go on air on July 29.

Avika Gor (Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka): I have been dancing since the age of four, but thanks to my hectic work schedule, I have not been able to dance for a while.

Being a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is a dream-come-true for me.

In terms of work, I have been extremely lucky. I hope that luck remains on my side as I take on this new venture that will change my life.

I am quite anxious about performing in front of the judges (Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo). I see them on television, but this is the first time that I will be sharing screen space with them.

My fans have seen me as the demure Anandi in Balika Vadhu, and now the aggressive Roli in Sasural Simar Ka. Through Jhalak they will get to see the real Avika.

Rashmi and Deepak

Rashmi Sandhu (Uttaran): Ever since I decided to take a break from daily television, I have been waiting for something exciting to come my way. I believe that nothing is more exciting than Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa!

I am a huge fan of the show and its concept and have always wanted to be a part of it.

So far, there have been a lot of interesting performances, but I am looking to add spice to the dance floor.

My main motivation to say yes for the show is Madhuriji. I am a huge fan. I hope that I can some day match steps with her.

I am quite confident about my dancing skills. I hope that the votes and scores make me a part of the final few who join the current contestants.

'I am a non-dancer, but I can surely work hard to win hearts'

Karan Wahi and Mohena

Karan Wahi (Remix, Dill Mill Gayye, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge): I feel really lucky to have been approached and I am game for this competition.

It's a mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness as the current line-up of celebrity contestants is equally good. They move well with some rigorous training over the weeks.

I am a non-dancer, but I can surely work hard to win hearts.

'This dancing avatar of mine is going to leave people speechless'

Rithvik and Sneha

Rithvik Dhanjani (Pavitra Rishta): Dance has been an integral part of my life. Being a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa gives me the chance to live my passion.

I have trained in hip hop and would love to showcase this part of my personality to my fans. They have seen me do different roles over the years, but this dancing avatar of mine is going to leave them speechless.

I have been working hard with my choreographer. Together we have come up with a concept that we hope will impress the judges.

I am nervous and anxious about performing in front of Madhuriji, Remo Sir and Karan because they are the three pillars who define entertainment.

I hope I can win the hearts of the judges and viewers and join the current contestants and compete with them to take the Jhalak title home!

'It is extremely difficult to impress the judges'

Jay Soni and Bhavna

Jay Soni (Sasuraal Genda Phool): Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is an institution in itself and I am very excited about being part of the wild card special episode.

Now that I have started rehearsing, I realise how different dancing to a choreographed sequence as compared to dancing on a night out with friends!

Thankfully, being an actor, emoting during a performance comes naturally to me. I have been following the show and I know that it is extremely difficult to impress the judges.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform in front of Madhuriji, Remo Sir and Karan and I am going to grab this opportunity.

I hope they love my performance and I am selected to be a part of the show so that my fans can see what I am like in my personal life.

'The judges are looking for perfection and I hope to give them exactly that'

Neha Bhasin and Cornel

Neha Bhasin (SingerI have danced during my singing performances, but this is the first time I will be giving full-fledged dancing a shot.

My sense of rhythm will definitely help me but I am still very nervous. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is one of those shows that carry prestige and expectations that will not be easy to live up to.

This season, the judges are looking for perfection and I hope to give them exactly that.

Only two contestants will get selected. I am rehearsing aggressively with my choreographer to ensure that I make the cut. I hope the judges and audiences enjoy seeing my performance as much as I am enjoying the journey right now.
