Dev Anand has left behind a legacy of memorable films and songs for us to remember him by.

After the first part of this special series, we bring here another set of the late actor's popular songs that were a reflection of his flambouyant personality and the realistic characters he played in most of his films.

Aasman Ke Neeche, Jewel Thief (1967)

Sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, the song beautifully captures the playful chemistry of two lovers.

Dev Anand is his usual charming self while Vyjayantimala looks regal in the song. Composer S D Burman fuses magic in this song with a unique blend of classical and lilting tunes.

Trying to placate his lady love, Asha Parekh, Dev Anand climbs on top of a moving car and pleads her to talk to him while she is in a train and feigns indifference.

Composed by Shankar-Jaikishan, Mohammed Rafi's silky voice compliments the mood of the song.

The song also had a female version which was sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Another gem of a song from Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai, this song is also sung by the great Mohammed Rafi.

Dev Anand sings of his sadness over a misunderstanding that's separated him from his beloved.

All the songs from the film Warrant went on to become hits and the lyrics, penned by Anand Bakshi, were widely popular.

The song is picturised on Anand and his love -- Zeenat Aman.

Disguised with a fake moustache and a cap, Anand arrives in a bulldozer to stop his angry girlfriend who's trying to get away from him.

Heera Panna was one of the many films that Dev Anand wrote, produced and directed for his home production Navketan films.

In the song sequence, Zeenat Aman is trying to implicate Dev Anand in a robbery case while actually both of them are trying to outwit each other. The lyrics of the song give away the actual situation in the song.

After Baazi, Dev Anand proved his mettle as an actor with Jaal and developed his unique style. 

Anand and Guru Dutt were good friends and this was their second film together.

Considered one of the best sad songs sung by Mohammed Rafi, Din Dhal Jaye has a crestfallen Dev Anand singing the song as he drowns his pain in alcohol.

Another song picturised in a train, Dev Anand takes a breather from work and travels to Ooty just so he can be close to his love.

Dev Anand's brothers Vijay Anand and Chetan Anand had special appearances in the film. Nanda played Dev Anand's sister.

A thriller directed by Amarjeet, Gambler did considerably well at the box office.

This film had Mohammed Rafi and Kishore both singing for Dev Anand, both of their voices complimented Anand. 

Chudi Nahi Hai Mera Dil Hai, from the same film and sung by Kishore Kumar, accentuates Dev Anand's playful demeanour.
