From Khamoshi to this Friday's release Guzaarish, if there's one thing we can count on, it is Bhansali's ear for great music.

Khamoshi-The musical
Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala's pairing was memorable for hit songs like Aaj Main Upar Asmaan Neeche, Baho Ke Darmiyan and Huiya Ho.
No wonder the film was called Khamoshi-The musical.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
No one would have heard of small-time violinist in music director Laxmikant Pyarelal's orchestra had it not been for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The director not only gave Ismail Darbar the title music of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but also proved that he could bring the best out of an artiste.
Singer KK became an overnight star when he sang Tadap Tadap for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Incidentally, he had sung the popular Maachis song, Chood Aaye Hum Woh Galiya, earlier but it was Tadap Tadap that made him a star.
Kavita Krishnamurthy sang the best songs of her career with Bhansali including HDDCS's title track, Nimbooda Nimbooda and Chand Chuppa Badal Mein.
In fact, all the songs in the film went to become hits.
Devdas
Among the many things that Devdas will be remembered for is the song Dola Re Dola, picturised on two beautiful women, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit.
Bhansali introduced singer Shreya Ghosal -- who made Bairi Piya a winner -- and she went on to become the Next Big Thing in the playback circuit.
Saawariya
Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor's debut also marked the debut of music director Monty Singh, another one of Bhansali's discoveries.
Monty, who had scored the background score of Devdas before this, made some good music in Saawariya. Songs like Jab Se Tere Naaina and Masha-Allah became chartbusters, even though the film didn't.
Guzaarish
Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to go solo on this one, and make his own music.
With new lyricists A M Turaz and Vibha Puri penning the lines, Guzaarish has 10 songs sung by KK, Shankar Mahadevan, Kunal Ganjawala, Shail Hada and Rakesh Pandit, to mention a few.
The best of the album? The title track and Chand ki katori.
