'Bigg Boss was the right platform to show I'm still around'

Raageshwari Loomba

After recovering from facial paralysis, Raageshwari Loomba entered the Bigg Boss house as a survivor to prove to the world that a positive attitude will take you far. The singer had kept away from the fights in the house, and always sought peace. But her reward for all these good deeds was eviction.

She strove to be the entertainer, imitating a bathroom attendant with a Chinese accent, or the kid with a Punjabi accent, as she went about her daily tasks.

It was Raageshwari's failure to complete a secret task that got her a nomination for eviction, which finally led to the eviction from the show on the weekend.

'The show is meant for survivors'

So, did her non-controversial personality go against her on a show that thrives on controversy? "Yes. I was on the show not to create any conflicts but to spread the message of love," she says piously.

"The show is meant for survivors, no matter what sort of character they are. I did not want to win eyeballs by getting into fights. I hope one day people will accept non-controversial people also."

Why then did she agree to be part of such a show? "Lately, people had begun to ask me where I had gone and why I was not seen around more, so I felt that this was the right platform to show that I am still around and am ready to take up work. I guess there is a lot to do now."

'I was the strongest person among those nominated'

Pooja Misrra, Raageshwari, Mahek Chahal, Amar Upadhyay, Juhi Parmar and Shonali Nagrani had been nominated for eviction, but Raageshwari says her eviction was unexpected.

"I was the strongest person among those nominated. All of them were very upset after they were nominated. I am glad that I got evicted because it would have been heartbreaking to see one of them go out," she says nobly.

The singer says she missed her parents and her pet inside the house. "It was a wonderful experience and it was like a gurukul for me. It is a place where they test your patience, breakdown levels and also your positivity. It teaches you how to detach yourself from your luxuries and family."

Raageshwari feels Juhi, Pooja Bedi, Shakti Kapoor and Vida Samadzai are the strong contenders in the house and they will not give up easily.

What are her future plans now? "I have to complete my sufi album and a couple of other projects are in the pipeline."
