While Pawan Kumar’s Lucia made news for being a ‘crowd funded’ film, with an intelligent screenplay and narrative, it was the songs composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi that were striking.

The impact of the music was felt not just in the state but internationally too.

In the first week of the film’s release, the songs were leading on iTunes.

Tejaswi’s folk-based melodies with fresh voices had gone viral on the web.

Sruthi Hariharan, Lucia

Sruthi Hariharan had a dream acting debut playing a double role in Lucia. She has a fantastic screen presence and expressive eyes.

K S Ashoka, 6-5=2

Inspired by The Blair Witch Project and mysterious incidents narrated to him by forest guards in the Western Ghats, director K S Ashoka’s 6-5=2 was an edge-of-the-seat supernatural thriller.

Within days of its release, multiplexes in Bangalore promoted the film to ‘Gold Class’ screenings.
