Here's a whole range of movies coming up in a theatre near you in 2014. Here's a look.
Dedh Ishqiya
Madhuri, Madhuri and more of Madhuri -- this is what is expected in the comeback film of the diva, who ruled the film industry in the 1980s and 1990s.
Her first comeback Aaja Nachle in 2007 was a damp squib but with brand Ishqiya expected to create curiosity, one looks forward to what producer Vishal Bhardwaj and director Abhishek Chaubey have in store for us.
Dedh Ishqiya will be the first biggie of the year.
Though comparisons with Vidya Balan's Ishqiya are unavoidable, Madhuri is expected to work her magic again, with Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. The film also stars Huma Qureshi.

With five back-to-back Rs 100 crore+ blockbusters to his name, Salman Khan's next is bound to be much anticipated. Even more so, since he did not have a release in 2013 at all.
The promos of Jai Ho have been well received.
This means that the film is easily one of the biggest blockbusters of the new year.
Sohail Khan makes a comeback as a director here.

A film with a title can Gunday isn't quite befitting for a Valentine's Day release.
But it's all possible for Yash Raj Films, and it's already got a favourable buzz.
Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor have already shown us that their chemistry is rocking. With Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan adding the tadka, director Ali Abbas Zafar (of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan fame) may soon get the hit he needs.

After scoring hits like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Rockstar, Imtiaz Ali collaborates with Sajid Nadiadwala with Highway. Even though he has Bollywood's top stars waiting to work with him, Imtiaz has chosen relative newcomer Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda for the new film.
A soul-searching journey, the director claims this has been his toughest film so far.
A R Rahman has composed the film's music.

Farhan Akhtar, riding high on the success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, will now be seen in Shaadi Ke Side Effects.
His heroine is Vidya Balan, whose sole release in 2013 was Ghanchakkar.
Directed by Saket Chowdhary, the marital comedy's first promo was a hit, when it released over a month ago.
His first film, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, had worked because of its originality. It looks like he may have nailed it with the second film as well.

A year after remaking Chashme Baddoor, director David Dhawan returns Main Tera Hero. And now, he will direct his son Varun Dhawan for the first time.
The young actor had impressed with Student of the Year and with an author-backed role in Main Tera Hero, he is expected to shine some more.
The film also stars Ileana D'Cruz.

Hit-maker Prabhu Dheva returns to the marquee with Action Jackson, starring Ajay Devgn and his favourite heroine Sonakshi Sinha.
The film is said to be an out and out action-musical entertainer with the Prabhu Dheva stamp all over it.
For Ajay Devgn, this will be a major film since his earlier films Himmatwala and Satyagraha didn't add to his hit journey.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in the remake of hit Tamil film Thuppakki.
Thuppakki director AR Murugadoss will direct the Hindi version too, and this will be his second Bollywood outing after the blockbuster Ghajini.

Four years after his last release 3 Idiots, director Rajkumar Hirani -- one of the top filmmakers in Bollywood -- returns with P.K.
Starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and a cameo from Sanjay Dutt, the film's story is still under wraps.

The film's main leads -- Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor -- will be seen in triple roles!
After all the brickbats that came to him with Himmatwala, director Sajid Khan may just redeem himself with this film.
The film also stars Bipasha Basu.

Director Mohit Suri, who recently gave us the blockbuster Aashiqui 2, will want to continue his winning streak with Villain.
The film stars Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, along with Riteish Deshmukh, who incidentally, has delivered six back-to-back successes.

Salman Khan's second release of the year is Kick.
Remake of a successful namesake Telugu film, Kick will boast of some high octane action.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala comes aboard as director after the film's original director Shirish Kunder left midway.
Jacqueline Fernandez co-stars in the film, and looks to continuing her winning streak after Housefull 2, Murder 2 and Race 2.

Priyanka Chopra will be seen in an author-backed role in Mary Kom, a biopic on the Olympics Bronze-medalist boxer.
Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film will be directed by debutant Omung Kumar.
It will be interesting to see how a woman-centric sports film will work at the box office.

Sajid-Farhad have gained acclaim as writers, thanks to their films with hit-maker Rohit Shetty.
Now, these 'masters of one-liners' will make their foray into direction with Its Entertainment, which, as the name suggests, is a film designed to be an entertainer.
The film also promises to showcase Akshay Kumar in all his glory, thanks to his brilliant comic timing.

Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan will now direct Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in Phantom.

Phantom will have Singham 2 for company on Independence Day.
Directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn, Singham 2 is one of the much awaited films of the year.
The film is yet to go on floors, since Rohit has stepped into the shooting of Fear Factor.
However, considering the fact that Singham was made and released within four months, it won't be surprising if Singham 2 manages to achieve the feat as well.

Emraan Hashmi did not have a memorable 2013, since neither Ek Thi Daayan nor Ghanchakkar did the business his films are expected to do.
But he may return to his winning ways with Shaatir.
The film reunites Emraan with director Kunal Deshmukh, whose Jannat series have worked very well.
Shaatir also marks the debut of Pakistani actress Humaima Malik.

Director Siddharth Anand's film Bang Bang has suffered much delays, thanks to hero Hrithik Roshan's injuries and brain surgery, and one hopes Bang Bang manages to make it to the screens this year.
An official remake of Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz's Knight and Day, the film co-stars Katrina Kaif.

After Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, director Farah Khan reunites with her favourite actor Shah Rukh Khan in Happy New Year.
The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Khan.

Like Bang Bang, one hopes Ranbir Kapoor's Bombay Velvet also makes it to the Christmas 2014 release date.
After the debacle of Besharam, the Kapoor scion seems to be missing in the filmi circuits.
Though a portion of the film has been shot, there has surprisingly been no word on the next schedule.
For director Anurag Kashyap too, this film will be his entry into the big league.
The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar and Naseeruddin Shah.
