Romantic link-ups and liaisons are never in short supply in the film industry.
There's a world outside the studios, a private world where your favourite stars live their lives, love and loathe in equal measure like all of us do.
As usual, the tabloids had a busy time recording their link-ups, who they dated and who they broke up with.
As 2011 draws to an end, here are the juiciest link-ups that did the rounds in the film industry:
Ranbir Kapoor-Nargis Fakhri
The Rockstar actor's personal life has been as vividly discussed as his performances.
Ranbir, the old horse at romance (Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Angela Jonsson) met Nargis -- an American model, who couldn't speak a word of Hindi -- during Rockstar.
The relationship got to another level when Ranbir's mom Neetu bonded big time with Nargis. Just when things were going just fine, the tabloids announced they have called it quits.
Vidya Balan-Siddharth Roy Kapoor

Siddharth Kapoor, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures and Vidya got to know each other during No One Killed Jessica. They are keeping mum on their relationship but according to reports, have talked marriage already.
Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh

Although he has been linked to Anushka since Band Baaja Baaraat, they insist they are not romantically attracted to each other.
Sonakshi Sinha's interest in Ranveer has added further drama.
Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra

After Kaminey, they have just finished working on Kunal Kohli's film. Expect some fireworks; on screen, if not off it, at least.
Bipasha Basu-Rana Daggubati
Image: Bipasha Basu and Rana DaggubatiPost Bipasha's much-publicised break-up with John Abraham, the actress is livin' up her singledom.
Her Dum Maro Dum co-star Rana is the cynosure of her eyes, for now.
Meanwhile, her idea of a perfect beau is R Madhavan. "I want someone like him. Someone younger and fitter than him," she said in an interview.
Deepika Padukone-Siddharth Mallya
Image: Siddharth Mallya and Deepika PadukoneThe Mallya scion is a constant presence in Deepika's life, being by her side at virtually all public events.
Yet, the actress has never admitted to her relationship.
For Deepika, it must be upsetting to hear rumours of Mallya gifting her a plush flat worth Rs 16 crore.
Abhay Deol- Preeti Desai
Image: Preeti Desai and Abhay DeolNot known to talk about his private life, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star who was apparently fed up at rumours of getting 'engaged' with the ex-Miss Great Britain, came out of his hibernation to set the record straight.
Nevertheless, he did admit, rather obliquely, that those around him know that he's in a relationship with Preeti.
Sonam Kapoor-Punit Malhotra

That has never prevented from the spotlight from being on Sonam and her I Hate Luv Storys director who has eyes only for his heroine.
John Abraham-Priya Marwah

But John moved on and jumped into another relationship instantly. Priya is said to be an investment banker and had been spotted with her desi boy quite often.
Prateik Babbar-Amy Jackson
