Anushka Sharma captured our imagination as vivacious Taani in her first film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. While she was kept away from the media glare till the movie released, we saw her gradually coming out in public and now she's no less than a social butterfly.
Her style too has evolved drastically in just three years. Counted amongst the handful individualistic dressers in Bollywood, Anushka makes quite a splash in page three pictures.
Here's looking at the towering actress's style file:
The actress's first breakthrough in terms of right styling came at the Filmfare awards 2009. She was spotted wearing a Gaurav Gupta one-shouldered dress with dreamy ruffles on the red carpet.
Cover fairy

The actress was sporting a soft-curled updo and a ruffled Valentino gown in beige.
Leggy lass

Why let all that workout effort go to waste? We nod our heads in approval.
Scarlett lady
Image: Anushka SharmaAnushka wore a lace flared jumpsuit for the unveiling of her FHM cover. While her smoking cover photo, that's visible in the background, is even more distracting than her appearance in question, there's no denying the fact that red lipstick agrees with Ms Sharma.
And so do we with her choice of lip colour.

Anushka truly sizzled in this understated Sabyasachi Sari at the 2011 IIFA awards. She kept it simple and won brownie points for her effortless style.
All the actresses who try too hard to stand out on the red carpet, take a cue from Anushka's closet.
Ms Misstep?

The actress took a bit of a misstep with this outfit when she attended the premiere of Taj Express Musical last month.
The top and the necklace failed to impress.

But mishaps are too few and far in between to be lingered on. Anushka looked fabulous in this Mandira Wirk gown at IIFA 2009.

Back in the day, when Anushka started out as a model, she modelled this cute Wendell Rodricks outfit and looked pretty darn good at it too.
That slicked back updo and her smile seem to be working more than the dress though.

Anushka even travels in style. For her IIFA weekend getaway, the actress was spotted at the airport wearing hot pink shoes and leather jacket over a T-shirt.
Her Gucci bag complimented the outfit.

Casual yet trendy, that's the way WE like it!

However, it was visibly a stuggle to break away from her Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi image. This was one of Anushka's first appearances since the release of her first film.
For a first appearance, we'd have prefered a more interesting look. But this can pass off as OK, considering it's Anushka we're talking about here.
On the edge

For her film Badmash Company's promotional event, Anushka wore an edgy short dress and paired it with an even edgier footwear.
She does do casual with an impressive flair.

Conversations over coffee
Image: Anushka SharmaAnushka's first appearance on Koffee With Karan had her in a lovely Falguni & Shane Peacock dress and rose-coloured shoes. True to her style, she kept it simple and that worked in her favour.
What a first appearance it was!
