Brothers Aamir and Faisal Khan laid their father, Tahir Hussain to rest on Wednesday.
The filmmaker-writer passed away on Tuesday morning following a cardiac arrest at Aamir's Bandra residence, in the suburban area of Mumbai.
Aamir, who is in the US with wife Kiran Rao, left the Sundance Film Festival where his film Peepli Live was premiered, to perform the last rites.
Members of the film fraternity like Sanjay Dutt came to pay their respects to Tahir, who is best known as the producer of blockbusters like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Zakhmee (1975), Anamika (1973) and Caravan (1973).
Sanjay's sister, Member of Parliament for Mumbai, Priya Dutt also came to pay her respects.
Also spotted were Sharman Joshi, Aamir's co-star in the blockbuster 3 Idiots, and Kunal Kapoor.
Among the arrivals was filmmaker Ramesh Sippy.
Actor Ronit Roy and director Kunal Kohli also put in an appearance.
