Last updated on: June 11, 2013 17:47 IST
Suraj Pancholi, who was presented in court earlier today in Jiah Khan suicide case, found quite a few supporters in Bollywood stars who logged in on Twitter to share reactions.
Pakistani starlet Veena Malik posted: 'RIP Jiah.... You were pushed to a brink... And your action left me deeply affected which changed me within...!!! Robbing a woman of her modesty, love, trust & abetting her to take her own life..the culprit should be made to PAY..May Allah Bless her soul!! I wonder why the fraternity is mum in Jiah's case...she was ONE amongst us...!!!'
Mini Mathur: 'Absolutely ridiculous that Jiah Khans private letter to her boyfriend is available to the media. Shouldn't these submissions be off limits? Noone should play judge & jury without knowing all the facts.'
Ram Gopal Varma: 'I now understood the reason for jiah's death after reading her suicide note revealed by her mother. I realised how mch of a bloody mistake it was on my part to think that jiahs death was a career related frustration till I read this letter. My heart goes out to how much the young beautiful Jiah suffered..every word in the letter shows her pain.'
Hansal Mehta: 'Somehow feel Suraj Pancholi is being victimized and unfairly targeted for an unfortunate death that he did not cause. Suraj is a 22 year old kid. Isn't it unfair to expect commitment or a permanent relationship from somebody who has yet to find himself? Could not help but read poor Jiah's lament. She seemed more tormented by her past. Is Suraj being victimised for her unfortunate past?'
Neetu Chandra: 'Jiah s suicide is too taxing n stressful. It makes life so small n meanless then why all of us r fighting for career, wealth fame, for whom ?'
Sanjay Gupta: 'WTF - Who is responsible for leaking Jiah's letter to the press? Cops or family? It's disgusting. Show some respect for her privacy. Jiah deserves justice but not at the cost of her dignity. Show some decency Media / Cops / Family.'
