SRK to perform at IIFA despite knee injury

Shah Rukh Khan cleared the air about his performance at IIFA 2011, which will be held this weekend in Toronto, Canada. SRK, who is suffering from a knee injury, will be performing at the award ceremony. The dance steps have been made easier for him.

The stars are getting ready for the 12th International India Film Academy Awards to be held at Toronto from June 23 to June 25.

Dia Mirza is on her way to Toronto. She tweeted: 'We're on our way Iifa Toronto :) look forward to being there!'

Karan Johar is in London on vacation with his mother. 'In London...with mom for a few days before I take the IIFA plunge...hope alls well in twitterland!!!' he wrote.

3 Idiots' Omi Vaidya will be leaving for IIFA this weekend. 'Off to IIFA in Toronto this weekend. So sad I missed all the action of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I almost feel like rioting! Almost,' he updated.

Riteish Deshmukh tweeted: 'Off to Toronto IIFA- gearing up to Host it with d studman @bomanirani and looking fwd to the world premier of Double Dhamaal.'

Anupam Kher is also looking forward to IIFA. 'In the Air India Flight to Toronto for #IIFA2011. Meeting lot of familiar faces and it is 17 hour flight. Hope to catch up on some sleep,' he updated.

Sanjay Dutt and Manayatta Dutt gifted diamond earrings to Ameesha Patel on her birthday, which was on June 9.

Not many know that the hugely popular item number Chaiyya Chaiyya was first offered to Raveena Tandon before it went to Malaika Arora Khan. Raveena did not take it up because she did not want to be known as an item girl.

Shahana Goswami, who recently shot her first scene for Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, praised her co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for making her feel comfortable on the sets.

'Just gave my first shot with aishwarya rai bachchan for @mbhandarkar268 film ! came nervous but am at ease now thanks to both of them! Fun! Can't talk about my role but its very exciting and am very happy to be working with @mbhandarkar268 ! Ash is a sweetheart, always been,' she tweeted.
