The audio release of director Jeethu Joseph's My Boss held on Sep 5 was noted mainly for some bold statements made by singer P Jayachandran.

The legendary singer expressed his dissatisfaction at the way some of the directors are visualizing songs in films. "They shoot various visuals which has no connection with the lines or tunes and the result is that some of the beautiful songs are forgotten without being noticed.

"Again, the composers make us sing for films but they won't include most of the songs in the film. Like, in Pranayam, only one or two lines from my version of the song Paattil ee paattil... was retained, though I had sung the whole song. If they are not using it, why should the composers make us sing the whole song?" asked Jayachandran.

Singer Manjari also made some interesting remarks. She said that female playback singers in Malayalam are going through a difficult period. Now this is regarded as a remark aimed at the composers who are encouraging singer Shreya Ghoshal in Malayalam.

Bhoopdathil Illatha Oridam, directed by Jose Chalissery, was originally announced with Sreenivasan and Rajsri playing the lead characters. Young hero Nivin Pauly has done a brief role in the film.

Soon after the shooting of the film was completed, Nivin became a sensation with the whopping success of Thattathin Marayathu. Now Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridam is being marketed as a Nivin Pauly film. A song featuring the young hero and Iniya has already gained much attention.

Nivin has become the flavor of the season with films like Sathyan Anthikkad's Puthiya Theerangal, Aashiq Abu's Da Thadiya and Sunil Ibrahim's Chapters at various stages of completion.
