Tarzan Antony (Prithviraj) and Uday (Bala) are the assistants of a well-known fight master named Dharmarajan (Thalaivasal Vijay). The master is almost forgotten and Uday has become the big name, while Antony has quit.

After a while, Dharmarajan gets another chance to do stunts for a film. He goes in search of Antony, who is hesitant initially. But the master convinces the fearless stuntman to make a comeback.

Tamil actor Srikanth plays the superstar in the film, while Anoop Menon plays the role of the film director.

Prithviraj says that his character Tarzan Antony is a daredevil, who will do stunts without taking safety precautions.

"We tend to neglect the stunt artistes who risk their lives to add to the glamour of the sequences and the stars.

"This film narrates the amazing things done by these stunt men to make the frames look more thrilling. Safety measures are usually taken, but there is also the risk that it can all go wrong. It is a risky job, no two ways about it," says Prithviraj.

Hero is being produced under the banner of Seven Arts. Bharani K Dharan is the cinematographer and the music director is Gopi Sundar. The script is by Vinod Guruvayoor.
