Comedy plays a major role in Ganesh's films, but all his films take a serious turn towards the end.
Ganesh has gone on record to say that Mr 420 is his first full-fledged, full length comedy film.
Mr 420, releases this Friday. It is pitted against Prajwal Devaraj's Gokula Krishna.
Let us now take a look at these two Kannada films.

Flush with the success of Kirataka, director Pradeep Raj has turned his attention to making a full-fledged comedy.
Audiences will get to enjoy another uncle-nephew pair in Rangayana Raghu and Ganesh, after the recent success of Rambo that starred Tabala Nani and Sharan.
Ganesh plays a village boy who comes to the city in search of his uncle played by Rangayana Raghu, who is a conman. Ganesh takes to his uncle's 'profession' in right earnest.
Ganesh falls in love with a girl who comes to know that he is a conman and is unable to give up his habit.
Sadhu Kokila plays an inspector in the film and the director himself plays the part of a villain.
Says director Pradeep Raj, "There is an element of suspense in the movie that also turns out to be comical. Although the actors are portrayed in serious roles in the movie they will make audiences laugh."
V Harikrishna has scored the music and R Giri is the cinematographer.
The film has been shot in Bangalore, Mysore and Sakleshpura. The film is produced by Sandesh Nagaraj.
Gokula Krishna

Prajwal Devaraj has two distinctly different 'looks' in the film although he does not play a dual role.
The film is being promoted as a family entertainer. Says producer Shekhar Gowda, "This film is meant for people of all ages. For youngsters this is a love story, and for those who love music it is a musical love story."
Prajwal is paired opposite Ananya, an actress from Kerala who is known as 'Vijayashanti' in Malayalam cinema for her thrilling stunts alongside Mohanlal in Shikkar. However, it was her Tamil films Nadodigal and Engaeyum Eppothum that thrust Ananya into the limelight.
Gokula Krishna has a huge star cast that includes Laya Kokila, Kuri Pratap and Suresh Chandra.
S A Rajkumar has scored the music and Vinod Bharathi is the cameraman.
The film has been shot in picturesque locales in Bangalore, Karwar, Kumta, Goa, Hyderabad and Agra.
