Many heroines featured in Telugu films this year but the following five leading ladies made a mark and left an impact on viewers.
Nayanathara
Film: Sriramarajyam
Nayanathara played Sita in Sriramarajyam, a mythological film which retold the Uttarakhanda of the Ramayana. This was perhaps a role of a lifetime and Nayanathara gave her all to it.
She delivered a calm, controlled, subtle and restrained performance and perfectly complemented Balakrishna, who portrayed Rama.
Tamannaah Bhatia

Tamannaah has had a good year in Telugu films. She played a sprightly, bubbly, talkative and emotional girl in the cute love story 100 % Love. She made a credible transformation from a village belle to an urban girl.
The crackling chemistry she shared with co-star Naga Chaitanya was a joy to watch on screen.
Nithya Menen

Nithya made her debut in Telugu with Nandini Reddy's maiden film Ala Modalaindi. Not only did she deliver a fine performance, she also sang songs in the film and dubbed for it in her own voice. That's quite a lot for a debut film.
Nithya's acting was very natural and her pairing with Nani worked very well.
Already there are comparisons with the late Soundarya. Endowed with loads of talent, Nithya is surely the best find of this year.
Kajal Aggarwal

One of the most in-demand actresses in the Telugu film industry ever since Magadheera became a blockbuster, Kajal had three releases this year--Mr Perfect, Veera and Dhada.
Mr Perfect was the most successful and her acting in the film was noted. She looked glamorous and fitted her role to a T.
Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee, who burst onto the film scene with Jhummandi Naadam last year, has had a bright year. She gave notable performances in Mr Perfect and Mogudu, where she has also dubbed in her own voice.
