After the well-appreciated Pranchiyettan & The Saint, writer-director Ranjith's next film, Indian Rupee, is ready for release.
Prithviraj plays a small time real estate broker who dreams of making it big in life. It was Ranjith who launched Prithviraj in the finely crafted Nandanam some years back.
Veteran actor Thilakan, who has not been in the limelight for a while after his tussles with some organisations in the film industry, is doing an important role.

Ranjith is regarded as one of the finest scenarists in Malayalam films after his fantastic scripts like Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Devasuram and Araam Thampuraan.
He later became a director as well and made films such as Nandanam, Kaiyoppu, Thirakkatha, Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Katha and Pranchiyettan & The Saint.
