NTR Jr's back with Oosaravelli this Dussehra

NTR Jr is back this Dussehra with Oosaravelli directed by Surendar Reddy.

Dussehra seems to be lucky for him as two other films of his -- Student no 1 and Brindavanam-- released during this time had fared well.

The success of Oosaravelli is crucial as NTR's earlier release this year, Shakti, didn't fare as well as expected. The entire state is flooded with hoardings and posters of Oosaravelli.

Tamannaah Bhatia is NTR's co-star in the film. The others in the cast are Prakash Raj, Payal Ghosh and Shaam.

Oosaravelli is NTR Jr's second film with Surendar Reddy after Ashok.

NTR said, "I don't know at my age if I'm qualified to say this, but there is tremendous change in Suri (Surendar) as a director from the second film I did (Ashok) to Oosaravelli. I worked for 112 days on Oosaravelli. It was a difficult shoot and we worked hard. The producer, BVSN Prasad, did not spare any expense in making this film. Moreover, he has been involved in the film completely."

Rasool Ellore handles the camera and Goutham Raju edits the film, while Devisriprasad is the music director.

NTR also had good words to say about the music and re-recording of Devisriprasad. NTR's favourite songs from the film are Brathakaali and Nenante Naaku (Adnan Sami), and Dandiya India, a dance number.

The young actor was full of praise for Tamannaah Bhatia, his co-star. "Tamannaah is the backbone of the film. When I saw the film, I had tears in my eyes seeing her acting."

Oosaravelli means 'chameleon'. Though the actor didn't outline his role, he mentioned that a chameleon "My character in the film can change colour for its life. The role was tough to perform and was challenging as the character was unique. It was tough to relate to that kind of a person."

He further added, "I portrayed it based on discussions with Surinder and Vamsi (the writer) and spot development. The film is a commercial film and offers pure entertainment. I feel I have done a meaningful film."

Director Surendar Reddy said, "When I gave the narration, Tarak (NTR Jr) didn't change anything in the script, so that very day I thought the film will be successful. I thank Tarak for accepting the film and the title. Rasool Ellore has worked day and night on the DI work. In fact, Devi gave four tunes on the day the story was narrated."

NTR Jr is happy and excited about doing Oosaravelli. He also appealed for a curb on piracy as a lot of effort goes into making each film. The young NTR has a huge fan following which was evident from the long queues at the theatres once advance booking opened on Tuesday morning.

Oosaravelli releases in theatres on October 6, Vijayadasami day.
